AS/EN 9100 (Aviation Sector Quality Management System Standard)
AS/EN 9100 Standard has been developed by Americas Aerospace Quality Group (AAQG), International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) and leading companies of the aviation sector in 1997 in order to encourage the cutting-edge technology standards in all areas of the aviation industry. AS/EN 9100 is basically an application of AS 9001:2000 Quality Management System to the aviation industry.
When setting up the quality system requirements specific to the aviation sector, ISO 9001:2000 standard having a suitable infrastructure should be based upon in order to set up an advanced quality management system and this should be used as a loadstar on this subject. AS/EN 9100 System may be used in many fields such as the design and manufacture of equipment, provision of spare parts of aircrafts, operations at airports and on airways, maintenance, flight operations and handling the cargoes, etc. r.
